2026: Lebap State Power Plant to Commission Gas Turbine Units

    08 May 26

Gas turbine units with a total capacity of 200 MW are scheduled to be commissioned this year at the Lebap State Power Plant in Turkmenistan’s Lebap Province, according to official media reports on Thursday.

The report states that electricity generation at energy enterprises in the Lebap Province is planned to reach 4.3 billion kWh in 2026, reflecting continued expansion of the regional power sector.

The construction sector is also expected to maintain strong growth momentum. The commissioning of the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant in the Koytendag district, with an annual capacity of 1 million tons of cement, will increase the region’s total cement production to 1.86 million tons in 2026.

In addition, a plant for the production of 250,000 tons of dry construction mixtures and 20 million square meters of gypsum board annually is planned for construction and launch in the city of Dostluk in Dovletli district.
