Oil exports from Central Asian countries increased

    02 Jul 26

In April 2026, the volume of oil exported from the countries of the Central Asian region averaged 245 thousand barrels per day. This is noted in the OPEC monthly oil market report published in June. The new figures are 19 thousand barrels higher than in March of this year, and 10 thousand barrels higher compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the "Business Turkmenistan" website. The bulk of the oil sent abroad by Kazakhstan continued to be piped to the Black Sea via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal. In April, flows in this direction remained stable at 1.6 million barrels per day. This figure is approximately 5 percent lower compared to the same period last year. The volume of exports via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, which is of great importance for bringing the oil products of two states in the region — Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan — to the global market, stood at 541 thousand barrels per day in April. Although flows in this direction decreased by 47 thousand barrels compared to March, it remains one of the main stable routes in the region's logistics system. Overall, in April, the combined oil exports from Russia and Central Asian states showed a stable trend, reaching 6,6 million barrels per day. This result is about 1 percent lower than the figures for March of this year.
