On July 10, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree approving the composition of the State Commission for Admission to Higher and Secondary Vocational Educational Institutions of Turkmenistan for the year 2026. The State Commission is instructed to provide organizational and methodological guidance for admissions to the country's higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in 2026 and to ensure the process is conducted in accordance with established procedures. This year, higher education institutions in the oil and gas sector are offering a wide selection of programs and majors. The Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University has expanded its fields of study and added new Master's programs: Machinery and Equipment for Oil and Gas Fields (Specialist degree); Computer Network Software (Master's degree); Information Security in the Oil and Gas Industry (Master's degree); Economics and Management in the Oil and Gas Industry (Master's degree). The Mary Oil and Gas Secondary Vocational School of the State concern «Türkmengaz» has added six new qualifications. Specifically: Oil and Gas Processing; Oil and Gas Well Drilling; Information Systems Programming; Analytical Quality Control of Chemical Compounds; Standardization and Certification; Computer Networks. The expansion of the range of specialties and the introduction of modern Master's programs are designed to provide the key sector of Turkmenistan's economy with highly qualified, next-generation professionals.
