On August 26, a videoconference meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Committee on Economic Cooperation, Hiroyuki Tsubai. The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the context of preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Turkmenistan-Japan and Japan-Turkmenistan Committees on Economic Cooperation. The interlocutors reviewed current and prospective projects in the fields of gas chemistry, transport, the circular economy, and others. Agreements were reached on the main items of the agenda and the work program of the Joint Meeting of the Committees on Economic Cooperation, as well as on the preparation of bilateral documents planned for signing following its results.
